After selling out multiple tours all over North America, Europe and Australia, performing at major festivals across the globe, and playing a slew of late night and daytime television programs, the band’s nonstop run culminated with a sold out show at New York’s famed Radio City Music Hall and a triumphant performance at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

While it’s time for the ‘Drugs to take some much-deserved time off, they still have one special performance to share with you. The War On Drugs continue on in support of Lost In The Dream. Today, the band performs on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, following performances these past two weekends on Coachella’s main stage.  This follows their Austin City Limits taping and a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live where they performed “Under The Pressure” for the first time on television, and the more atmospheric, “Disappearing,” for a web-exclusive.  Last weekend’s Coachella performance culminates a three-week national tour, but it won’t be long until the ‘Drugs head out again to play Sasquatch, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Field Trip, Forecastle, Lollapalooza, back-to-back shows at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club, and more (full list of shows here).

“Lost in the Dream achieves something that is rare in today’s pop music: it’s an album that gets better the more you listen to it. For any music, or any novel for that matter, that is an accomplishment of significant merit.”

Premiering today on Vulture:

“‘Under the Pressure’ suggests a certain small-town expanse. To put it another way, it’s music for the open road, when after hours of driving, towns and trees and sunshine and stars and brake lights blur together.”

“Philadelphia rock titans The War on Drugs made a trip up I-95 on Monday for a visit to the Ed Sullivan Theatre and their sophomore appearance on Late Show with David Letterman. In support of their phenomenal third album Lost in the Dream, the band teamed with CBS’ own Paul Schaffer for a jaw-droppingly good rendition of Song of the Year candidate “Red Eyes”. The performance was so good, in fact, that even the competition was raving about it: “Yes!! @warondrugsjams just slayed on Letterman,” Jimmy Fallon music booker Jonathan Cohen tweeted … as his own show was still on the air.” – Consequence Of Sound
